A name synonymous with the hospitality industry, Hyatt entered into an agreement with Japanese hospitality company, FJ Hotels, to open a two tower, 239-room hotel in the heart of a major Japanese tourist hub, Kyoto. The hotel, Hyatt Place Kyoto, is in central Kyoto, near the Kyoto Imperial Palace and Nijo-jo Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

systemsGo was referred to this project by Hyatt, after a successful partnership in Fukuoka. Hyatt’s understanding of systemsGo’s capabilities, coupled with systemsGo’s knowledge of industry standards and Hyatt’s own standards led to this next collaboration.

Challenge

Seamless project management would be crucial to the success of this project. As there are several key stakeholders involved, the primary point of contact between all parties must ensure smooth communication and oversee the various phases of the project:

  • Design
  • Construction
  • Commission

On the IT side, a Systems Integrator would need to use their technical expertise to create the specifications for a brand-new hotel built from the ground-up. From there, any hardware, network & cabling, and other required equipment would need to be procured and installed.
